Character: Glenn
Gender: Male
Age: early 20s

History: "What'd you do before all of this?"

"Delivered pizzas. .. Why?"

In the world of The Walking Dead, Glenn lived in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally, his family was from Korea, and they moved to Michigan, but Atlanta was where Glenn wound up in the end. He worked as a pizza delivery boy, from what can be seen. He had the job long enough to where he could navigate through the city with ease, knowing all the shortcuts, the ins, the outs, everything in between from the rooftops above to the sewers below. It was a job that helped make somewhat of a living, considering that it didn't sound like Glenn was in school at this point of his life.

Then... the end of the world happened.

Who knew that mapping out Atlanta in his head would come in handy? Survival was the key idea in Glenn's head, and it proved to work out great for him, as he was able to avoid failing prey to the walkers, as they swarmed the city. Sooner rather than later, he would find strength in numbers. For a while, he stayed in a small camp on the outer boundaries of the city with other survivors, once Atlanta became overrun with walkers. Figuring that he could provide little help in some of the tasks that others already covered (hunting, taking charge, watch duty), Glenn's talent for maneuvering through the city with ease would label him as the camp's supply runner. In the city, out as fast as he could. If one way was blocked, he'd simply go another route, back-up plan waiting just in case. It worked relatively well, he got the supplies needed for the others at camp, and things were alright.

Until the day that Glenn agreed to take a group with him into the city one on of his supply runs. With Andrea, T-Dog, and Merle Dixon accompanying him, they ventured into the city in search of supplies. They separated at a department store; Glenn would weave through the streets to gather things unavailable there, and the others would wait for him. Something caught his attention however, and he discovered a man on a horse, watched him get attacked by walkers and seek refuge in a tank.

Unable to say no, and hoping that someone would do the same for him one day, Glenn helped the man get away, led him to safety. Eventually the group was able to return to camp.

That day, he met a reliable man named Rick Grimes.

They needed to return to the city. Though they had gained a sheriff deputy from that run, they had left Merle handcuffed to the rooftop. Needless to say, Merle's young brother, Daryl was going back for him, and Rick felt obligated to join; he asked Glenn to come, due to his knowledge of the back alleys and such. Glenn agreed, as they were also going back for a bag of guns that Rick had dropped upon his first arrival into the city.

Devising a plan to retrieve the bag, things got complicated. Though he had assigned Daryl to watch his back on one side with Rick and T-Dog waiting on an alternate path, the two had run into trouble, and Glenn was grabbed, forced into a car and separated from the group. It turned out that appearances were deceiving however, and the group that had taken him were only being careful, as they were looking over the elderly that had been left for dead; Glenn's feelings turned from hostile and terrified to relaxed, caring. He hardly looked surprised when Rick, T-Dog, and the Daryl found him again.

They returned to camp, just in time to help fend off a walker attack. Glenn helped the others with the shotgun he had been handed, looking terrified and out of breath after the attack, unsure how to feel about what may have been his first walker kill. There was no time to relax, however. The outpost was no longer safe. They had to pack up and move; the survivors made the choice to head to the CDC in hopes that there was a cure for one of their injured (though shelter was the main priority).

Glenn followed with the group and once they found refuge in the CDC, he let himself breathe. It was where they relaxed, if only for a day. There was hot water, real good, even alcohol. Glenn joined with the group for celebration, and was there to help with the panic when they needed to run out, escape the place that had no cure, nor shelter with it's fail-safe for when the power ran out. The CDC exploded; the group continued on.

On a highway some time after the events in the city, a passing crowd of walkers forced the group to hide underneath cars, quiet, in terror. When they thought danger had passed, they were proven wrong and Sophia was separated from them. The group began to look for the little girl, but in the process, Carl, the son of Rick, was shot by accident, This led to the group discovering a farm, untouched by walkers, relatively safe, ideal.

Here on Hershel's farm, Glenn would fall in love with the farmer's daughter, Maggie Greene. Totally cliche, he knows.

The group stayed here for a while, and here, Maggie took an interest in Glenn. At one point, Glenn was lowered into the farm well in order to lasso a walker, so that they could remove it and stop it from polluting the water; things almost didn't go as planned and that marked another one of Glenn's close encounters with death. Maggie voiced how she didn't enjoy the fact that he was the go-to guy, even deeming him iwth the nickname 'Walker Bait'. It didn't change his feelings on her.

On a supply run, Glenn saved Maggie from a walker and soon after, an interest was taken; soon after, while gathering medicine and other things, they had sex. For some reason afterwards, Maggie treats him in a flippant manner; at times she is nice to him, and at times she is cold, which confuses him in turn. Regardless, an arranged meeting with Maggie turned into Glenn discovering that the loft on the farm was holding walkers. Unable to keep it a secret due to his reluctance to lie, Glenn confesses to the group the situation.

Soon after, the decision to eliminate the walkers in the barn is made and Glenn takes his role in it, after gaining a silent sort of permission from Maggie. They find Sophia in the barn, last of the walkers who were in there. Rick shoots her and Glenn stands there silent, the barrel of the shotgun in his hands still hot.

The group encounters more problems however, but they don't come from the dead. They come from within the group itself and from others, who had attempted to shoot them when their attempt to find out about the barn hadn't worked (Glenn had gone with Rick to a bar in order to find Hershel, who had stepped out after the loft incident). Glenn was saved by Hershel in a gunfight, as he had frozen. Things happened, and events concerning the fate of one of the men who had tried to attack them, Randall, occurred. Glenn stayed to the side, kept his opinion low but along the lines of what mostly everyone else was suggesting. "He's not one of us."

One night when trying to figure out what to do with Randall, and while trying to keep in mind the words and reason of Dale Horvath (Glenn's confidant at times, and teacher when it came to fixing the Winnebago), a scream was heard. That would be the night where they lost Dale to a walker.

The day after, following Dale's funeral, Glenn is seen making an attempt to fix the broken RV, which had been Dale's home. With company from Andrea (who had been much closer to Dale), Glenn attempts to keep strong and though he loses composure at one time, he manages to get it the Winnebago working, thanks to advice that Dale had given him in regards to repairs. Soon after, when it is unveiled by Shane that Randall has escaped, Glenn accompanies him, Rick, and Daryl into the woods to go after him. Paired with Daryl and then split up from Rick and Shane, the two find Randall as a walker.

After a struggle, Glenn manages to eliminate the undead offender, and the two discover that Randall had not been bitten, but his neck had been snapped. They rush back to the farm, not sure what to make of the discovery.

Personality: Who would have thought that a pizza delivery boy would turn out to be such great walker bait?

Horrible jokes aside, Glenn has the mind of a planner; when the need calls for it anyway. He's resourceful, able to make do with what he has that combined with his quick thinking makes for a powerful force. If he's caught at one end of the rope? Glenn heads for the other side, or even makes his own path if he needs to. When one way doesn't work, he moves for another, then another, until something goes his way. Or you know, someone else comes to help him instead.

Stubbornness is something that runs in his blood, especially if it comes to something he feels strongly about. He doesn't care if you can snap him in half with just a flick of the wrist. If something you do doesn't line up with something he knows should happen? He'll argue with you every step of the way, clawing and biting (though he really doesn't want to). Glenn can get upset too, and he can get mad - remember that he has a spine.

When things aren't that way though, he's a combination of awkward with an attempt at charm that doesn't always shine through, but that doesn't mean he's not likeable. He's easy to talk to, adaptable. He's also easily influenced however. Glenn is at the age where he can be swayed by others, but he manages to keep his head above such things for the most part, as he still has held onto his enthusiasm for living, despite the fact that most of the world as he knows it is over.

Glenn has been near the center, if not in the middle of plans that involve luring walkers out; he earns the nickname 'walker bait' from Maggie Greene, and has had many close encounters with walkers in the past to support it. Despite that, his demeanor and outlook on things remains about the same as it has been. He'd rather much be alive than dead, that much can be inferred.

Considerate of others, he's willing to help complete strangers, as it was in the case of Rick Grimes. He shows compassion and humanity, as is evidenced by his reactions in killing a walker for the first time, up to 2.12, where he repeatedly whacks a walker in the head, even past death, in a panic. His honesty is blunt, as he's not that good a liar with things, as he has admitted before.

Fears: coming upon the idea that he's of no use to anyone is likely one of them, being bitten / turning into a walker, not being able to protect anyone close to him

Weaknesses: difficulty in saying no, easily swayed, easy-to-scare, easily intimidated
Mundane Strengths/Abilities: Firearm knowledge / use, willing to do just about anything (can be called reckless in a good way), knowledge in navigation / strategy

Sensitivity/Magical Ability: --

Supply List: basic attire (alternatively here), gerber blade, various necessities in his backpack (water, gauze, extra clothes, ammo, etc.), shotgun with just a handful of bullets to back it up. He can still use it as a blunt weapon, just saying.

sample prose:

Glenn doesn't think he's good with words. He just says whatever comes to mind because it's the first thing that happens and he doesn't think that he'll get another chance to say something else before he's passed up for someone else's opinion. After all, he'll just agree with anything, isn't that how it goes?

It's frustrating to think that way.

Still, if the decision made protects everyone and doesn't end up being the worst idea ever (he still thinks Rick's plan to cover themselves with Wayne Dunlap the organ donor's guts is pretty bad, but then again he's done worse), then there's not much to argue about, right? Still, he stays to the side, reaches up to fix his hat and tug it over his eyes a little, just to hide his face, to try and keep his reactions to the conversation from influencing anyone. Not that it will, he thinks.

They're going to do whatever it is they plan on doing. Simple as that.
